Fairfield Antique featured in New York Times!

One of my listings is the nicest, most comfortable Antique in town!

Wraparound mahogany porchIf there was a postcard symbolizing Fairfield Real Estate, this house would be IT !

The house is at 288 Stratfield Road - smack dab in the ultra-cool Stratfield section of town (you know, where all the houses are different, architecture stylized,  the gardens are perfect, the people are down-to-earth... etc)Stratfield DR into FR

Anyway, it's the old "Peck House" named for the Pecks who still live in town - the house is circa 1790 but it has beautiful airy living spaces and feels very light and bright for an antique. Yes there are numerous stone patios, yes there are FOUR fireplaces, yes there are nooks and crannies galore! Large living room, large kitchen, large dining room, large family room...  but wait till you see the master bedroom bath - wow, it's like a spa!

The Karma starts even before you walk in... as you approach the wraparound porch (mahogany!)

And guess what? There is even an antique red barn out back... set beautifully on the HUGE (almost an acre) lot amongst the flowering trees, perennials and bushes.Stratfield Back yard

All of this for just $ 650,000.  Hard to believe.

Is that my old friend Dave Peck's family home?  Is that the same Peck family?  What a beautiful listing, Paul.  I grew up on the "other" side of town, but got to know the Stratfield area later.  Love the architecture, neighborhoods...just need a new "market"!  Julie
