It's true that mail volume is down. Yet, it's sad to lose the convenience and charm of going into the local post office for stamps and a chat.

Suzanne, it's not reall funny, but I just read another post about a town that had to add a zip code.  Of course that was due to population growth and not so much because of increased mail...emails more like it.

Vicki - You must live in a small town. Here in my neighborhood going to the post office is another chore with lots of other people around. Every now and  again I bump into a neighbor but mostly it's inconvenient and frustrating.

Nick - Hey Nick! Long time no see. Consolidation of post offices says to me the Government is cutting corners. It's time that they did their economic revival like the rest of us. Stop needless spending is the first rule of order in tightening the belt. Let's keep sending people to congress who listen to us. This is a good move toward the reduction of our 14.3 trillion dollar debt. Not big. I didn't day big. Just good.
