Mojo or Nojo

Any analysis of the real estate market necessarily imparts the author's weltanshuaang.  Me, I am a glass full kind of guy.  I do not mope.  And I do not let other people drag me down.  Negativity, like the flu, is contagious.

Which brings me to my topic:  How's Marin real estate doing?  This is a question that I get asked ten times a day.   And my answer is always the same:  "think Mojo."  Or words to that effect.  The thing is, even though prices have stabilized and there are more homes on the market, if you want or need to sell your home, there are still a LOT of super motivated buyers out there.

To snare these buyers, all one needs to do is price the home correctly for the market and make sure that it has a fresh feel (whether that means new paint, carpet, landscaping, etc.).  Staging is becoming more important, especially in higher end homes that are no longer occupied (although good staging makes any home sell faster and for more money).

My point is that we, in Marin County, still live in a market with Mojo.  If it is Nojo you seek, go check out home prices in Phoenix and Las Vegas.  Now that could even make me depressed.
