As an Atlanta Real Estate photographer and real estate agent in Marietta I often get opportunities to photograph some of Metro Atlanta and Cobb County's most interesting and beautiful properties. Recently I was asked to photograph a few rooms of the 2011 Art & Design Showhouse in Marietta, GA for one of my favorite local city sites Marietta.com. For those not familiar with the Marietta Art & Design Showhouse, it is essentially a showcase of 21 of Atlanta's most accomplished interior designers designing a space around popular southern artists' work. The event was held from May 7-22, 2011 and proceeds went to benefit the Marietta / Cobb Museum of Art.
Having only about an hour to get a handful of good shots I was limited to what I was able to really capture of this amazing collection of art and interior design. Since a lot of detail shots had already been taken, I focused on what I do best, photography for real estate. I could have easily spent the entire day there. Here are a few of my favorite images from the shoot.
This home has such a classic, Craftsman style exterior. It fits right in with the style of architecture that is prevalent around Historic Marietta. This is one of the kind of images that comes to mind when I think "Southern Living".
In addition to the great work done by the interior designers and artists, the home itself was full of character.
The kitchen was certainly the heart of this home. The open floor plan allowed the Kitchen, dining and living areas to all flow together seamlessly.
One of three bedrooms on the upper level, each with its own theme inspired by a different piece of art.
I saved the best for last! This master bedroom was my favorite but it wasn't an easy decision. Every designer and artist that contributed to the 2011 Marietta Art & Design Showhouse did a remarkable job!
I hope you get as much enjoyment from these images as I did creating them! ILWThis blog was originally posted at iranwatsonphoto.com on 06/14/2011
