Don't Be Insulted-I'm trying to sell your listing!

Last week I was showing an out of state buyer client who was down to the decision making point in the process. He wanted to see a home that he thought would be perfect for his family. I noticed that the home was priced about $20K over similar sized homes in the neighborhood and that it had been on the market for 122 days at that time. The owners had invested a substantial sum of money in granite counters and decorator paint among other nice touches. When I spoke with the listing agent after making the appointment, I mentioned that I realized that the seller had put a lot of money into the home but the buyer was concerned that it was priced well over comparable homes in the neighborhood. The listing agent stated that she worked for the seller and "quite frankly was insulted" that I had even asked the question prior to seeing the home. The home has now been on the market 133 days.
