The town of Franklin, Massachusetts has not had alot of new construction available since the 1990s when building was at an all-time high. Ultimately a moratorium on building was established which placed on cap on new construction permits in order to preserve open space across the town.
There are only a handful of new construction developments across town but many buyers seem to prefer homes that were built during the past 10-15 years--this allows for their often quicker closing and lower sales price. Franklin, MA real estate offers many updated homes that may be 10 or more years old but the sellers may have replaced both kitchens, baths, and flooring!
