League City Water Update - Drought

By

As I watched my neighbor literally watering his entire driveway yesterday, I couldn't help but wonder what it takes to make people realize that water is a precious resource.  Ask the folks of El Paso Texas or other cities that just simply don't have great access to water.

Repairs to 42-inch line that supplies the majority of water to the City of League City are still not complete. Contractors originally expected repairs to take 48 hours.

The City of Houston and their contractors now say those repairs could take until Friday. League City residents are asked to continue conserving water as repairs are made.

It is extremely important that residents and businesses continue to reduce unnecessary water usage and halt all irrigation during this repair of the 42-inch line. The patience and understanding of League City residents and businesses is greatly appreciated and the City hopes to have the system back and running soon. Updates on this topic can be found on the City’s website at www.leaguecity.com.
