Tann Starr Sketchbook Chronicles: The next Kim Harrison cartoon - Trent

Sketching my version of Trent made for a stellar lunch break. My gal pals and I will be working on building up our pen and ink pile of KH characters (yeah - a friendly competition is brewing). They're artists too and we are about to engage in a fun, visual blog war. So far that entails bossing me around while I do all the work. It appears they do not have cartoons living in their heads fussing to get out into cyberspace like I do (but I have dared them to set their imaginations free - LOL).

Tonight I shall be watching bug movies in Netflix with them to learn how to draw translucent wings on a pixie (don't ask - it's a Jenks thing - LOL).

Then there will also be a visual pop quiz on fairies from my friends who are training me on how to do the Life With Wee People graphic novel. Draw on demand is the new bloodsport in my apartment. I am practicing on the shorties. My kids as cartoon characters are going to be stoooooopiiiiiid!!! You think the Autism/PDD-NOS community is going to be ready for Stephen, the Minion Blur action figures or will the ritualistic executions of our electronics being drowned in the toilet be a bit much for them? (Stay tuned to find out - ROTFL).

Right now my girlfriends are treating me like a pixie police sketch artist so I have to get back to my pen and inks and draw Jenks for tomorrow's post in the Kim-Stream. :-)

P.S. I need to build up this Facebook business page: Tann Starr. We want a name URL and are going to start posting the pages over there so if you want to keep up with the music and art that'll be the spot. :-)

Carolyn, I just wanted to stop by and say you are very talented with your sketching abilities. You should do a self portrait too. Very, very good. Yep, you could easily be a police sketch artist.

Thank you, Gary. I haven't done a pen and ink self-portrait since my stint as an illustration major at the High Shool of Fashion Industries (LOL). Oooo... that might be a fun thing to illustrate. I may actually try this later after our Netflix playdate tonight. Hmm... ;-)
