Recycle artist Tripp Gregson will be in the gallery Thursday night showing off his wild fish collection created from used road signs, license plates and the likes!

The Art District's Walkabout is a monthly arts and cultural celebration in the Heart of Islamorada. Visitors and locals can stroll the Old Highway, MM 81.5, between the Historic 1935 Hurricane Monument and the Green Turtle Inn, enjoying the sights and sounds of the visual and performing art showcased in the galleries, gardens and restaurants. Artists, sculptors, jewelers, photographers, and an ever-growing field of stimulating art and artists are available to the participants. Events will include artist receptions, music and other activities. Plentiful and diverse dining options will satisfy the desire of visitors during the Third Thursday Walkabout. MA's Fish Camp, Kaiyo Grill, The Green Turtle Inn, Chanticleer South and the Moose Lodge will showcase their culinary art. Gallery Morada, Pasta Pantaleo Signature Gallery, the Redbone Gallery, Blue Water Potters, and the Matecumbe Studio Gallery will be the hosts of the Third Thursday Walkabout.

 Featured artists vary every month. Artisans may contact director@moradawayarts.org if they would like to participate in future events. Come and discover for yourself what the Morada Way Arts and Cultural District is all about. Afterwards at 10pm Green Turtle hosts Late Night Green Turtle Jams until 1:00am. With happy hour priced drinks and appetizers and impromptu performances by local (OR ANYONE!) musicians; it is the place to be on Thursday nights in Islamorada.
