Many times is our hurry up world we forget to stay in touch with the ones who mean the most to us. Family, friends, old friends and, yes, even past clients.
You would think with all the tools at our disposal we would have an easier time touching those that mean so much to us. Cell phones, Smart phones, texting, e-mail, chat rooms, Facebook and on and on...,however I think we actually get in such a hurry we tend to procrastinate so much that the detail work never gets to the finish table.
I am recently finding that by simply focusing on sending out 4-5 cards a day to birthday friends, family and past clients that I am able to start creating new habits that should have already been in place. Add to that a sensible use of social media and KAPOW!, I'm back in touch. And enjoying it. The card I send out doesn't have to say much, but I know from having received similar cards, they mean a lot. I know that someone took the time to actually sit down and hand write a note to me. That makes me feel loved.
So...I am trying to be better at being a stay in touch kind of guy, and with some success! But, if you have suggestions to help me make this a better experience, not just for me, but for the recipient of my communications, please, by all means let me know your suggestion. I am really hoping to hear from all my Active Rain friends.
