Is Feedback Really That Important? Umm, Umm, Yes!

I'm the kind of guy that strongly believes in you reap what you sow, you get what you give, an eye for an eye (some would call it karma).  I cannot tell you how frustrating, time wasting and inconsiderate it is when agents don't bother giving feedback to the listing agent (me, specifically).  It makes no sense!

Why would a seller even consider allowing someone in their home without a basic expectation of providing feedback?  It goes both ways, if you want to see my house (yes, it is for sale and thank you for showing it!), please tell me what you and your clients thought of my house.

From my perspective as a listing agent, it makes my job that much more difficult.  I have to track down the showing agent (sometimes with multiple voice mail messages and/or e-mails), the advise that I provide to my seller may be validated if I/we received feedback (i.e. purple paint may be a concern or the price may need a slight adjustment).

My question to agents that do not make it a practice of providing feedback, if it only takes about one minute to complete, why not lend a brother fellow agent a hand.  Who knows, your job (and future success) just may depend on the full cooperation of other agents.  This phenomenon of good agent to agent relations could be appropriately renamed agent karma.
