How would you like to have a tech lunch with me tomorrow (Fri 6/17/11)? Part of my business plan for 2011 is to start branching off into ways to start actually earning something from my work here! :) Hosting webinars is one of the ways that I’d like to try to do that. So my idea is as follows, and I want to test it out tomorrow with three guinea pigs willing testers! :)format:
60 minute online session starts sharp at 1pm ET (may not be “lunch” if you are west coast, but it is for me :). Craig shares his screen (using join.me app) - callers hear the audio by calling into the conference number. Three persons get 15 minutes focus each. Specific questions answered and ideas demonstrated. Your blog presence reviewed and discussed, suggestions offered. (fifteen minutes will go very fast, so we will coordinate via email prior to conf call). End of session will be for taking questions from all attending, recapping any points covered, etc
attendees:
open to 3 persons who get focus time, when not your blog focus, learn from points suggested to others, additional attendees can “audit the class” as the fly on the wall to watch along and pick up new points too
cost:
$10 each for 3 focus persons, $5 each for fly on the wall seating :)
I would like tomorrow to be my “beta test” to see how this format works and how the webinar systems (screen sharing, audio, chat) all work. If all is thumbs up, then we’ll take it from there moving forward!
