Juli has shared this on-going problem that all 'No Kill Shelters" are experiencing. Please pass this on . . . we need as many readers as possible to spread the word. If you cannot rescue an animal and change both your lives, please DONATE what you can. Shelters don't just need cash: they usually can provide a list of needed items including office supplies, blankets, litter, etc. Call your local shelter and ask what you can do to help!

Juli, I hope many lifetime friendships are created with the adoption of many many kitties from all shelters but especially yours. Thanks for sharing this with us!!

Because of the over population of cats at the Arizona Humane shelters,

MCACC is waiving the normal adoption fee for all cats over 1 year old.

If you're looking for a furever friend, please consider adopting one of these cats looking for their furever home.

Thanks for the re-blog Susan. Let's hope more people hear about this and get the word out. One thing I ALWAYS donate (in addition to money) is all of my old towels and throw rugs when I'm redecorating/changing the house around. The other day, we goofed up and bought the wrong kind of dog food for our own dogs. Instead of driving back and the hassle of returning it, we just took it to the nearest shelter. ALL donations are welcome, that's for sure.

Juli - strangely, our local shelter houses only cats!!! But you're so right; they need everything so if a person cannot adopt a cat, please donate what you can. Call and find out what your local shelter is in need of. Have a great weekend!
