Napa County cities see smallest of gain in 2010 in year over year increase in assessed values for all properties here, just .058%. Here is a list of how several different cities/areas fared:

Here some excerpts from an article in the Napa Register by James Noonan, Napa defies trend, sees assessments increase:
Napa was one of only nine California counties to record an increase in property value assessments last year, eking out growth in an area where nearly all others continued to slide.
Statewide, 49 counties saw their total property assessments dip in 2010, said John Tuteur, assessor for Napa County. Locally, the value of all assessed property in the county - slightly more than $27.1 billion according to the 2010 roll - grew by just .058 percent.
On Jan. 1, 2009, responding to the declining housing market, Tuteur's office took roughly $2 billion off the county's roll by lowering the assessed value of property throughout Napa County. The following year, his office removed an additional $225 million.
Despite millions coming off the roll in 2010, Tuteur said that two factors - a handful of substantial residential property sales and significant non-residential construction - accounted for Napa's slight uptick.
