Last Tuesday's Macomb Daily published an article by Joseph Szczesny where the title & Sub-title caught my eye: title " 'Pure Michigan' gets stimulus" and
the ever so important Sub-title of "Private sector ponies up $3Million to keep ad campaign alive"
How great is this news: The Michigan Economic Development Corp. reports that private sector partners equalling 28 communities and destinations have committed more than $3 M. to help air 'Pure Michigan' ads both locally and nationally.
Double the contributions of 2010, MEDC has matched these contributions.
The Travel Michigan Partnership Program allows the contributors to choose the national ad campaign or the in-state or regional partnership.
Traverse City; Mackinac Island; The Henry Ford museum complex [Dearborn] are involved in the national partnership; Each has contributed $500,000 toward the 'Pure Michigan' national ad program.
Thanks are sent forth to these partnership members.
