Good luck with this listing!  I was intriqued by the city referenced in the address... in the 1960s as a small boy, our family used to go to a summer resort on Lake Mahopac.  I have fond memories of the place.

How wonderful that you have such great memories of Lake Mahopac :)  Thank you for your support! This home is a little further from Lake Mahopac but still wiithin reach.  It is still very much the place to enjoy summers, with the beaches, motor boats,etc... Have you vistied any more?  If you have I am sure that you can see that the Mahopac area that was small and quaint and offered a great summer homes are now estate upgraded Luxury Homes.

Hi, Margarita --
I have lived in Arizona for a long time now, but a few years back I wanted my wife to see my boyhood home.  After visiting that town, we drove up to the Hudson River Valley and it was spectacular.  As you know, many people who have never been to NY think that the entire state is like New York City.  I often tell people, "Remember, Vermont is a neighboring state and the treeline doesn't end at the state line."

As to Lake Mahopac, as I think back, the resort was sort of like a cruise ship on land -- they kept you going all day and night with activities, and the food was included.  It was tremendous fun for a kid, because you were never at a lack for something to do.  I hope you are enjoying that part of the world.  All the best, Eric
