Grand opening in June 2011, the brand new Wings & Waves Waterpark is debuted on Monday, June 6. This new attraction is next to the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum, one of the greatest collections of aircraft and space artifacts in the world. It’s been said that both the Waterpark and the Museum distinguish McMinnville as a premier location for learning about the power of science — and at Evergreen Wings & Waves Waterpark, children and adults will learn why “life needs water.”
The waterpark will offer 10 waterslides, a wave pool and a children’s museum dedicated to teaching students about the power of water. The facility features nearly 70,000-square-feet of educational fun, highlighted by a massive Evergreen International Aviation Boeing 747 that rests on the top of the building. Throughout the structure, waterpark visitors will learn about the power of water and its effects on society through dozens of interactive exhibits and learning tools. Plus, there is a toddler area, play structure, leisure pool and spa, café and rooms that can be rented for birthday parties.
