Happy Father's Day -- A short Tribute to Dad

Father's Day

Today is Father's Day and the day we give THANKS to our Fathers/Dads that made a difference in our lives! Some individuals have the luck to have step-dads that treated them as their own kids, and some of us have adopted our dads. My dad passed many years ago, and this is for him, but also for previous boss at Safeway I have always looked up to! Adopted dads have special meaning to us, as this is our choice, not a requirement.

Daddy's Boots
I want to be like Daddy
Someday if I can,
Mom told me when I fill his shoes
I'll be a real big man.
His hat and ties no problem,
(I'll grow a good amount),
and I may be able to fill his shoes,
It's these boots I'm worried about.
