It's Summer time, good old summer time.

I know what the calendar says it starts on Tuesday the 21st, those of us here in the South have known it was here for a long time. So what are you doing this summer? Family vacations or "staycations?

Things to do or places to go in the Houston area that you may have forgotten or did not know about.

Then there all all kinds of wounderful parks around the area with hiking, camping and

fishing.

Did you know: "Free Fishing in TEXAS State Parks"

Free Fishing in State Parks is designed to encourage more people to get out and enjoy the great sport of fishing. It has long been one of the most popular activities in the U.S., and it is our hope that everyone will want to share in the countless memories that can be created out on the water.

Like Courtney, I'm from Seattle where we are putting the finishing touches on the 2nd coldest Spring in our history (something like only 15 days above 65 degrees so far this year!).  Summertime looks like something we will have to come South to visit for.

Thank you, Courtney and Ron,

That is really cool here in Houston we are at 28 or 29 days in a row of 90+ with no rain.

I have had enough summer.  They predict we might get some rain and cool things off.  Come on October.

Brenda, Thanks for stopping by.  I really appreciate it.  And, the barn takes about three days, if I work steadily at it.
