AYou don't have to be a father to be celebrated today. Happy Father's Day also to the great single mothers. First of all I want to say Happy Father's Day to all the great father's out there. But this post is dedicated to the forgotten ones-single mothers who also plays the role of a father in a child's life.

Some of my good friends are single mothers. Being a mother especially a single mother has to bethe hardest job on this planet earth-I AM SURE ALL THE GREAT MOTHER'S CAN BACK ME UP ON THIS. Being pregnant with a child is noooooooo easy task-I don't have to be a woman to realize that. Raising a child is hard. Raising a child as a single parent is even harder. A child needs both of his parents in his life. I am not a father-at least not yet. But I know that Fathers play a different role in a child's life than That of a mother. When I see a single mother pushing the troll with her child in it while holding another one by the hand,I always say to myself "Where is the father?'" It takes two to make a baby but it seems like the one that sometimes bail as a coward and acts like a baby is the father who should be more involved in the baby's life by pouring in him/her spiritually and instilling good values in them so that she would not grow up to be a lost soul and pariah in such a cruel world.

Pray that God raise up more and more great fathers because this country is lacking some great fathers. I am definitely not making a excuse for some of the actions of some fathers these days but how do I expect a father to be a great father when his father was a bad role model in his life. Single mothers should not be responsible for doing something a man should do-be a father to his child. One of my many favorite scriptures in the bible is Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” To “train” indicates the first instruction that a father and mother give to a child, i.e. Some children lack training due to not having a father in a child's life. I love all the great mothers out there. But don't you think it is very unfair to automatically assume that a mother especially single mom should be Super Mom every single day? NO! It's not. Being super sometimes can lead to burnout. Mothers especially single mom shouldn't have to bare all the responsibilities of a father.

While my father might have not been the greatest father I wanted him to be-NOBODY'S PERFECT and later started another family,I still love him. He is also a good father. The bad can never outweight the good that he has done for me as a father. God used him to help make me the hardworking man that I am today by working on the farm. Heck working on the farm helped me come up with my name
THE REAL ESTATE FARMER.

And if you are a single father out there,THANK YOU. May God continue to bless you beyond beyond your wildest dream and give you all the tools to continue to help you be a great father to not your children but to other children as well. Some people have told me that people used to be parents to other people's children. How come there is no more such a thing? Happy Father's Day to all the great fathers and single mothers out there. I LOVE YOU! AND THANK YOU!
