I wonder what year it is... and if anyone can take it...and...restore it....and keep it or re sell it!
Hi Deborah, you ar a brave woman...I would have just looked at it from afar.
This car reminds me of the old race car --- was it Hudson? --- in the animated movie "Cars" See: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1y8-0XHWA2I
You checked for snakes and spiders. No rats?
I didn't see anything moving, rats or scorpions... it's an old Chevy maybe a 48 or 49.
Deborah,
OK, so who took the photo then....You were in the dessert. How did the seat feel after so much exposure to the elements?
I was out visiting my dad's cabin outside of Yucca Valley. He's had it for about 40 years and we head out there a couple times a year. The car was not there a few months before, so I'm thinking the folks who own that parcel might have towed it there ..... My daughter is the "driver" and it was a beautiful day about 70 degrees so the seat wasn't hot and the car looks restorable. When I go back, I'll update this blog post.
Hi there,
Now that actually looks like it could be a really neat car, with a little handy work of course.
Hey Chris! Of course she did, she can't wait to drive. When we're out there we let her drive our cars on the dirt roads. 1 more year and she gets her permit.
That baby has stories to tell Deborah, but we don't think she is going to take you far! LOL!
Sheila: Not on the side of the road, but on the lot behind my dad's... he's got a five acre parcel with a two room cabin that's got to be 80 years old there.... there are chicken coops from the 1940's laying around.... people just leave stuff in the desert... it's sad, yet quite interesing... you can find some amazing scenes...
Muchas gracias, Mart...
