Yesterday was Father’s Day and my family and I came up to Seattle a couple days early to have some fun. We went to see my wife’s aunt and uncle and had a great dinner with them. But, my family came with me to Raincamp, so they could take me to the Seattle Mariners game on Sunday for Father’s Day.

You are asking what does all that have to do with real estate? Well, I can tell you it has everything to do with real estate for me. I got in to real estate so I could provide for my family, but quickly realized that real estate could make my family stronger and more connected if I did things right.

So, over the past couple years, I have included them in my blogging about parks, let my kids do book reviews and even talked about their sports and other activities. You see because I have done this, I have been connecting with other families who have similar interests. These families would understand that I can’t show homes at 6pm on a Wednesday because I’m at a child’s softball game.

My father was at every one of my events as a child and I wanted to do the same thing for my kids. Real estate gave me this opportunity as I could write my own schedule. I’ve realized in the last year that I could even do more with the team concept and built a team that could work when I couldn’t and shared my lead generation skills to make more money.
Success to me isn’t how much you make, but how I support my family by being there. I could give them all the money in the world, but if they didn’t recognize me, then to me it wouldn’t be worth it!
