GREEN PRODUCTS EXPO – AUGUST 19
The annual Green Products Expo is Friday, August 19th from 1-4 PM at the Greater San Antonio Builders Association Ray Ellison Auditorium. “Last year it was a great event and the attendance exceeded our highest expectations.” – said Aaron Stein, Project Manager with BSAG.
This is a great place to see and hear what is new in green living and renovations. It may be more money in the beginning, but it is less money in the end. Some products include recycling options, siding alternatives, led lighting, solar products, and flooring products just to name a few. FREE ADMISSION.
CPS REBATE PROGRAM – FEATURED ITEM: INSULATED ATTICS
It’s just plain hot! According to Resnet & CPS, the attic is often where you can find the biggest air leaks in your home. These leaks can disrupt the effectiveness of your cooling system, making your home feel sticky during the summer or chilly come winter. Whether you're warm or cold, air leaks also can lead to an unnecessary increase in your energy bill. By adding the proper amount of insulation to your attic, you can stay comfortable while using less energy. Attics also are the easiest place to add insulation in your home.
CPS Energy is offering a rebate of $0.25 per square foot of attic insulation installed. The rebate amount is based on the amount of insulation actually installed over conditioned space. See our Attic Insulation Guidelines for more information.
This rebate ONLY APPLIES to HOME IMPROVEMENT OR RETROFIT PROJECTS.
Note: Radiant barrier foils, sprays and coating do not qualify for a CPS Energy rebate.
