Shift in the Real estate Market so it is strongly recommended for you to adjust

Part 1

Laura Cerrano Feng Shui expert based in NYC and Long Island NY has been receiving multiple calls for either Feng Shui assessments before purchasing, renting and even building in New York City.  As we all know, the migration in population are constantly shifting.  Today's wave is of the Asian community.  This transition has been happening for a while, with a huge increase starting in 2010.  Now many real estate agencies, construction companies and architectural firms are noticing because certain aspects and elements of homes and buildings will not be rented or bought unless it is "Feng Shui approved".  Having a Certified Feng Shui expert on your side is going to give you a niche and eventually will become a necessity in this kind of business.

Some Feng Shui advice to keep in mind when showing or looking to construct a building according to Feng Shui:

Feng Shui tips when staging

living room in a home on long island

bedroom staged in New York City

  • clean up any clutter...that is the easiest way to start the process of staging a home
  • either open the widows for fresh air if you can or simply lift up the blinds or shades to allow most amount of natural light into the space
  • Make sure to add splashes of color with artwork, pillows, items that are placed on the tables...less is more ;) Just simple touches is all you need
  • Make sure it smells good, especially the bathroom, were thinking about all the senses, not just the visual
  • Even soft music playing in the background can be very welcoming. No words in the music, keep it neutral
  • In the kitchen or dining room have a fresh bowl of fruit or fake ones to accent more color and also it's a sign of abundance
  • adding some simple plants around the space, usually the main floor is recommended because that helps set the tone for the rest of the space
  • make sure the bedroom is set up, bed made, clothing put away and so on
  • remove photos of your family so that anyone walking into the space can imagine their family or themselves in that home
  • If you have a patio in the backyard, either of a home or apartment...make sure it's structurally sound.  Having it on a slant going sideways  or moving in a downward direction from a Feng Shui perspective is not very auspicious.  It shows an unsupported back.  Opportunity, support in all areas falls away.  Plus it's unsafe to walk on.

This is definitely the way to go.  When people walk into a home, and it just feels right, it will sell itself.
