Today…
Live today like there is no tomorrow… This is a saying I ‘m sure everyone has heard before. The era of the 60’s and 70’s brought about this kind of thinking of tomorrow may never come. Some agents seem to live by this mantra, let’s see if this could be you:
The central part of any effective coaching system is accountability …not just for today, but forever! Living your life like there is no tomorrow when it comes to real estate will certainly make your career a short one.
Just like a farmer, when seeds are planted, it may be days before you start to see even a little bump in the soil …maybe weeks before the smallest green shoots protrude from the ground, and even months before the harvest. Farmers have to be patient …and so do REALTORS.
Let’s examine TODAY a little closer …. If one lives for today …then they most likely have little concern about consequences since they feel there may not even be a tomorrow. So what happens if you live your real estate life this way? No concerns about consequences …details …relationships or future business? How long do you think it would be before your business is bankrupt? DOA? Knock, Knock… Is any of this sounding familiar?
Unfortunately this is exactly how many real estate agents run their businesses…living only in the moment, failing to focus on the bigger picture and the long term viability of their careers.
I challenge you to live life to the fullest … while making today work for YOU!
Focus on Today, 2 days from now, 2 weeks from now, and 2 months from now. Daily focus on prospecting activities, growing relationships and planting seeds for future referral business which will yield a harvest to feed your financial security for years to come.
Start today…right now …don’t procrastinate a minute longer. Pick up the phone and make a few calls to past clients, write a few hand written notes or pop-by and see a friend for lunch. Start growing your business for tomorrow … today.
Is your career yelling …WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR ME LATELY?
If so…you might want to listen!
