A New Beginning. . .

By
Real Estate Agent with RETIRED

It's been about 3 weeks now.  I'm now affiliated with Coldwell Banker D'Ann Harper Realtors here in San Antonio, TX.  It's a large Real Estate firm with 6 offices and over 300 agents.

I've had my real estate license for 7 years but they wanted me to go through their training course.  I had mixed feelings about having to go through the entire course - I knew a lot of the course would be a review for me - information I've heard over and over and over again during the past 7 years.  But, at the same time, I know review is always beneficial.

The training has been very thorough and yes I've learned and shared some personal experiences with the new agents.  And, they've pushed me to step outside of my comfort zone more than a few times.  I hate making cold calls and even warm calls - but we had to do it - it's part of the curriculum - the new agents were doing it and I had to do it too.  It wasn't bad, after I got started, it was even fun.  No one hung up on me, screamed at me not to call them again - I can do this again.

I am so impressed with the professionalism of this Company.  The training is presented in a very professional manner with handouts, binders full of information and everything new agent needs to start their business and every experienced agent needs to rejuvenate their business.  I'm so excited and proud to be affiliated with this company.  I keep asking myself why it took me so long to get here.  I'm here now and planning to stay for a long time.

I'll be working out of the San Antonio North Central Office located at 600 North Loop 1604 East.  If you need to sell or purchase a home, please give me a call at 210-240-8001.  I'll be happy to assist you with all of your Real Estate needs here in the San Antonio, TX area.  I specialize in Corporate and Military Relocation, New Home Sales, First-Time Buyers, Resale Homes, and Listings.  I am also a Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) - if you're 55 or over and you're planning to retire, downsize, relocate, call me, I can help you.  I can also assist with moves to Assisted Living and Long term Care Facilities.

Judi, good luck with your new association with Coldwell Banker. The agents I know in the Dallas area that are from Coldwell Banker are all very well trained.

Judi:  This sounds great.  The agents I have worked with in my area have been very professional and I know it's a reflection of the leadership of their broker.  She is a key part of their success.  I hope your move turns out to be the best ever. BTW, thanks for commenting on my questions about deleting associates.  I have since deleted the post because my question was answered and I didn't see the need to keep it posted.

Hello Ms Judi - I'm keeping an eye on you. Ceil said to say hi and said to tell you that change is good. Like any new job (since she is or was a recruiter) it takes a good six months to get comfortable in any new position. Go get'em Judi.

Hi Gary, thanks for stopping by.  When I decided to make a change, I interviewed several different franchises.  I was so impressed with what this particular office and franchise offers their agents and their clients, it was an easy decision.

Donna, like I told Gary, it took me awhile to decide to make a move.  Once I started interviewing and saw what this company offers, it was a "no brainer"!  I told my sales mgr., I didn't know what took me so long to get over there!

I noticed you removed the post about deleting associates.  : )

Joshua, I can't mention which company I was with because this is posted to public.  But I'll send you an email telling you.  I have thought about moving back to Louisiana a few times.  But this is where I have built my business and 2 of my 3 children are here.  My fiance works here at the Toyota Plant.  I love San Antonio and will probably stay here forever or at least until we both retire.  : )

PS  I'm getting married November 3, 2007!  : )

Carl, she mentioned she was thinking about going back to Lake Charles to visit.  It's been so busy, I lost track of when she was thinking of going.  Hope she has a great time!  :)

Carl, see my comment to Joshua above.  :)
