Local Happenings in Cecil County MD This Week
Wow! This is a very busy week for some really cool things to do in Cecil County!
This Thursday June 23rd from 5 - 8 pm the town of Elkton will close down North and Main Streets to display many classic Cars. If you are a Car Buff, or just want a nice eevening walk through Elkton, Come Join Us! The Chamber of Commerce Website describes the event;
"Door prizes, Trophies, 50/50’s, Live Entertainment by OFB (Classic & Contemporary Rock & Blues). Food will be available to purchase. No cost to register. Cars can start parking after 3 PM. For more information contact the Elkton Chamber & Alliance at 410-398-5076."
24th Annual
Mid-Atlantic Chevelle Show and Swap Meet
On Saturday and Sunday, June 25 & 26, another Classic Car Event! This is in North East at the Community Park. It is billed as the largest collection of Classic Chevelles on the East Coast. Sounds like fun. Hope you can Make it The event is hosted by the Maryland Chevelle Club and they describe the event as;
"Make plans to join us for another spectacular Chevelle Show. The "Largest Gathering of Chevelles on the East Coast" is on the books for June 25 & 26, 2011 at the North East Community Park in North East, Maryland. Located off exit 100 from I-95, it is centrally located in the town. North East Community Park is right on the Chesapeake Bay and provides a perfect picturesque background.
This will be the 14th year for the MCC to host an ACES Northeast Regional event! On hand will be our good friend Chuck Hanson, President of ACES (and Retired Co-Host of Horsepower TV)."
Chesapeake City is Hosting the Annual Canal Day on Saturday June 25. Quite a destination for boaters and tourists alike. Visit the Chesapeake City Tourism Website for details. Their site describes the event;
