In trying to keep on top of what is happening in the market I have compiled the SOLD STATISTICS BY SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE WEEK OF JUNE 12, 2011 THRU THE 18TH FOR THE POCONO MOUNTAINS OF PA.
For the "middle" of the Month of June I suppose that are in accordance with the market place. Notice that the largest group of sold homes are for those under $100,000. I believe we are seeing that as the most sought after price group in our market. As we work our way back to being a Vacation Home Area again versus a primary home area, this number is not to surprising.
I read an article earlier today on the stats of todays largest homebuyer group - 22-34 - and it stated how this generation is wanting a smaller home so I guess the "under $100,000" range falls right into this group whether it be a primary or a vacation home.
As always stats were obtained from flexmls on 6/20/11 and are deemed reliable however I am not responsible for typographical errors.
