In 2007 I had a high referral business and my clients loved me but I saw other agents just killing it. Why wasn't I?
The question was answered for me by a little known and highly controversial experiment conducted in 1949. Harry F. Harlow's monkeys solved his puzzles BEFORE seeing any rewards. This was completely contradictory to many motivational models of the day. They did it for...FUN!
The business world didn't know how to apply it to controlling employees so they did the logical thing and ignored it.
Fine for them but we are INDEPENDENT agents. We are our captains. If we don't burn the fire brightly, there is no one to do it for us.
I had to give myself permission to hold these truths to be self evident. I'd like to invite you to do the same:
1. Fun (NOT STRESS) is the highest guarantee path to financial and emotional success.
2. Everything about this market screams for intrinsic motivation to translate into monetary gain.
