Well, let's see, I have seen enough of these so I think I can figure this out, but what is there to share that I have not already posted in my blogs???
First of all, how about I was pretty fluent in Slovak as a wee one, since my Grandmother Tomecko (my mother's mom) took care of me when mom was at work and Grandma came to this country when she was 15 from what is today the Slovak Republic (it was the Austro-Hungarian Empire when she was born)! Since my parents were never fluent in the language (3 grandparents were Slovak) I lost the language when we moved to Florida - I was in the third grade when we moved here -
Second - When I was 15 I poured pure hydrogen peroxide on my hair and went out in the yard and took a sun bath - my hair turned the color of a brand new copper penny and my Dad almost murdered me when he got home and saw it - I was given 24 hours to make it dark again -
Third - Once after picking my mother up at the airport in Paris and heading to the Bretagne for vacation I popped the back window half out on the car's hatch-back trunk because I had so many suitcases in there and when it would not close I simply slammed it harder - a nice Frenchman at a garage fixed it - nothing broke, it popped out along the rubber on the side - (boy was I lucky)
Fourth - Once on vacation in Padua in Italy, as I was about to take my kids into another church to look at the architecture my 5 year old son screamed in German "Not Another Church"!!! and pulled to stop me in my tracks! They were pretty tired of seeing every church, museum and anything else I could find that was historical or architecturally interesting -
Fifth - When I was having a special dinner with all of the relatives from near and far at my great aunt's home in Krizovany, in the Slovak Republic I helped myself to something that was really tasty - then I asked what it was and couldn't eat anymore - it was fried goose blood with onions and spices and some innards!!!! That was embarrassing and really gross!!!!
So now you have my 5 meme's!!!!
