snow day

I Love Snow Days!!

Probably worse than any child, I look forward to seeing the name of my children's school scroll across the tv screen...School Closings...

Then there is the downside of snow days...snowy, icy walkways.  If I could ask one thing of those selling their homes, please clear your driveway and walkways.

I am sure it sets the mood for the season BUT I am liking the mild (72 degree) weather here at the beach !

is that your daughter- very cute picture! It is funny how the kids wait for the scroll on the tv- not realizing they will have to make it up later in the year!  have fun and make a snowman for us!

Michele-Yes, that is Amelia.  Here in KC the schools have a number of days figured in as snow days.  So, no worry of having to make up for time off.

Enjoy your warm temps ;-)

Ravi--That is how it was here last week.  Then fast forward to this week...ice and snow.  If we could only get the snow without first getting the ice.

Our "snow days" are hurricane days.  I had to explain to my kids, who have never seen snow, what a snow day was.  They couldn't extrapolate that such a large amount of something that looks so harmless, can cause so much trouble.

You guys must not get much snow.  Our first snow of the year was October 12th.  Right now it's 24 degrees and we've got about a 8" in the last 8 hours.   I'd prefer the 58 degrees we had 4 days ago.  Oh well, part of the joy of living in Northern Michigan.

I got such a laugh from your post and the pic. I moved to Siuthern California to get AWAY from the snow. Got sick and tired of the cold, and shleppiing around in the stuff.

And showing real estate in the Boston area in that kind of weather really bites the is NO parking, etc. I enjoy the snow on the TV weather reports and recalling the good old days (just 18 months ago!) The pic to the left is of my daughter in the blizzard of Jan. 2005 when Cambridge, MA got 33 ". We were in Carlsbad that day negotiating the offer on our new house - how i ronic is that!!

And here is OUR snow in Carlsbad - a hailstorm early last spring.
