Architecture fascinates me; I'm a builder.  When I was just a kid, my Dad took me to New York City, where I remember seeing gargoyles for the first time.  This ironwood stump reminds me of the bat-like gargoyles that adorn the high corners of tall buildings in New York, in London and in Paris. 

Ironwood Gargoyle #2 lives in Saguaro National Park's Tucson Mountain District. (You can see Ironwood Gargoyle #1 here.)
