Would You Sell A House Using An Ad Like This?

Would you sell a house using an ad like this?

Back in the day real estate was advertised in the newspaper in classified and and the real estate section, in homes magazines, and by mailing post cards.

Today the newspaper and home magazines, although still used, have been largely replaced by the Internet. Blogs, single property web sites, YouTube, Zillow, Trulia, etc. are used to market properties.

The following ad for a property was recently posted on YouTube. It definitely is a different approach in presenting a property. It's had over 685,000 views. Click on the image to view the property:

If the picture link doesn't work go to: James Bond Type RE Ad.

So what do you think? Would you run an ad like this?

just proves how much real estate marketing has changed over the years.......personally i wouldnt bother with it,but there is a whole new generation of agents out there and im seeing more and more play on their vanity as opposed to the beauty of the property they re marketing to sell........

It may work well in Las Vegas, Miami or LA but i cant see suburban homes going this way... although they are great ads to look at. It gets your attention, but does it help sell homes?

Hi Alan - I've seen this before.  It is an expensive ad, but very creative for sure.  I don't know how well it actually finds a buyer for the property, but it sure does get the agent a lot of attention, and maybe some future listings.

Hi Alan,

Got my attention!  If the name of the game is exposure, then they're certainly onto something.  The ad was creative and fun to watch, but I think they put too much into the sex appeal, and not enough into showing off the features and fine points of the property.  Thanks!
