Open the shades, pull back the curtains and shears, let daylight fill your home to make it look more spacious.

If an agent called to set a showing, turn on all of the lights and lamps in the house.

If you're going out for a few hours, open the blinds, pull back the curtains, turn on ALL the lights, just in case an agent leaves a message on your answering machine, and shows your home while you're gone.

Don't forget to turn on the light in the oven and the light above the stove, and that oven better be clean.

I can tell you from experience with prospective buyers that bright and light homes attract contracts.

Dark homes look dismal inside.  Buyers want big and bright homes.  Light makes your home appear larger.
