Closet Organizing Fun!
Sometimes, as a Professional Organizer, it's nice to take a break from all the complicated projects and do something simple (simple to me, anyway!) and fun, like a good ol' cleaning out of a closet. Here are photos of a project with a recent client with a long walk-in closet.
BEFORE: The client had recently moved in to a new home and begun to unpack and hang clothing and shoes but had not finished. The clothes that had been unpacked had not been put in any particular order or groupings. The closet, which was about 15 feet long, was definitely not being used to its full advantage.

AFTER: This project took four hours and used entirely what the client had on hand in the way of any containers that were used. The client did a great job of purging clothes and shoes. Remaining clothing was grouped and organized in a format the client could easily access. I also taught the client some folding techniques that would help keep folded items more easily identified and accessed on shelves. The plastic drawers are hopefully temporary. I left the client with several ideas on how to most effectively utilize all the wall space, and they will be able to implement those solutions at their own pace.
