I had to share - "two ++" great finds @ My most recent trip to Costco

Well my local Costco is never usually disappointing for me....however this trip was a unique one.  I had to share - two great finds (or three) @ my most recent trip to Costco.

I was a bit partly cloudy w/ a light cold & stopped in under duress actually. I had been asked to pick up a few items for my family that they requested for dinner.

Well as we sometimes have as a treat, I found a few samples along the way :) & even with the sniffles they all tasted mighty good.  There was one that HAD to go into buggy (okay two!!).  Yes, actually two special finds got to go into the buggy & prompted me to blog them....but one I didn't even get to taste til I brought it home.

What are the treasure finds of the week?

Well they are the Wasabi Doritos that I have only seen at Costco....in fact my brother & daughter had tried to find them without telling me a few days before.  They know that I am not a huge Dorito fan, nor many chips for that matter.  (If I could buy stock in this one flavor of chip by them I would)  They saw them at Costco before & didn't tell me, & then tried to find them at Winn Dixie & Publix, but no luck...  Their surprise, I arrived home with them in the back of the car!! (without knowing all of that)     Well they were so surprised & thrilled.  (Obviously we all had the same impression & taste but hadn't discussed it)    The HUGE bag is almost gone ;p!!!!  I seriously wouldn't blog about just any chip....they are worth a try & my family thought they were the BEST...right up there with the Ranch ones they said.

....the other find that I have to admit was my vice...(& you have to like Olives), were the Gigantic Olives they have in a single jar that are stuffed with roasted garlic & jalapeno.  They are too divine.  Great by themselves, in summer salads, as an appetizer for a function, well just about anything.

These were the best two surprises that I have had in a long time on my trips in to Costco...I just had to share & for the group & all of us out there into the outdoors now it's summer.....snacks, picnics, bar-b-ques & gatherings :)

Speaking of which, (stagers & others interested)  they have two art blown glass that take fuel for outdoors that are just beautiful.  Okay, had to share these treasure finds in your neighborhood @ Costco...  Happy Shopping <3

Gee, I go to Costco and come home with just stuff. Hmmmn? Certainly not an adventure, unless you count the parking lot.

Wasabi Doritos Wow!! Sounds interesting I have been in love with regular Nacho Cheese since I was a kid....I don't tend to like the new fangled flavors. I actually saw a bag labeled "Tapatio" (a spanish hot sauce) flavor?...IDK? I guess there has to be something for everyone.

Pam - all those little samples sometimes add up to a lot of extra items in the shopping cart ..... the puppy dog close certainly works for Costco.

Love Costco.  We go in with blinders on and single focus in mind.  We head to grocery department and fresh fruits and then make a mad dash to the registers to get out of there.  Otherwise we would be swimming a huge swamp of things we didn't need.  So much opportunity to purchase..... so little time and money for the frivolous.

@ Patricia :-))  Thanks, well it was that day anyway... It is the little adventures sometimes?  I guess Japan, Italy, Portugal....(in my dreams or the cold medicine) but ...a little side adventure :)

@ Jon - Yes, that is usually me!.....actually why I went under duresswas the Parking lot w/ my cold...I almost blogged it is one of the most dangerous places outside of I95 (even on a good day) ...but tI wanted to try to stay on the positive side (lol) w/ the treasures instead :)...but that parking lot...phew!!

@ Gina - I haven't seen "Tapatio" hmmm well that will be something to look for, but I don't just jump into everything either...but these well "they were the bomb:, as the kids (young adults) said :)

@ Kathy - Yes, well I was trying hard not to get those "extra" items that tend to jump into that cart...& I did pretty well this trip....  We used to say anything under a set $ amount we did good.  Well I was hoping to even beat that goal this time as it was supposed to just be a few quick things.......but I still kept it under the usual goal :)!  I'm not sure the Puppy will like them, but you may...although ours, given the opportunity will eat almost anything!!  One had the powdered gravy mix down & had chewed through the bag the other morning...  so you never know! ;-)

Costco Rules!

Go in with a plan... Costco is like 10 stores in 1; don't try to take in the whole place on 1 trip.

Find out what time is best for "Food Samples"...  avoid the high-carbs and sweets at the front of the store, head for the back where the good stuff is.

Costco gives free Nitrogen for your car tires.  Sure, you only need to check it a few times per year, but it's nice to get it free, instead of $20 that the Tire Store wants.

Buy computers, electronics, etc. from Costco.com  -  the Warranty is usually extended to 1 year, no questions asked.  They beat Best Buy and everyone else on the price.

Get the Executive Membership - at the end of the year, you will get a  Rebate $$ Check for more than you paid for the Membership.
