THERMAL Racetrack is on TRACK!
This is a great project and attraction for the Coachella Valley. Now all the race car drivers out there can run a few laps in their race car after a day of golf. Memberships can be combined with PGA West for lots of recreational fun and social events too.
THERMAL Racetrack is still on track! If you love fast cars this could be the spot for you... and they are building a lifestyle, not just a paved oval!
Just a couple of hours drive (shorter if you drive fast) from LA... and minutes from the luxury resort area of La Quinta, THERMAL will be the got-to-get-to place to be for you jet-setters with a need for SPEED! Not only will you be able to house and drive your super-fast sports cars here, but you can keep your gal-pal happy with plenty of fun in the sun in nearby La Quinta. When you are finished on the track in the morning, you can play golf on a championship course or visit a world class spa in the afternoon! The nearby Jacqueline Cochran Airport is ultra convenient for buzzing in to give your sweet rides a workout!
The latest news : The Riverside County Board of Supervisors voted 4-0 in favor of moving forward and to amend the plot plan for Kohl Ranch, a residential lifestyle development dating back to 1999, to allow a country club-styled track facility to be built on 330 acres of the 2,133-acre site. Now moving into its project approval phase, investors hope to get permits to begin grading in July. The first race, ideally, could be held in 2012.
Besides car owners with high net-worth, the plans include a public kart track — with 19 possible configurations — that would appeal to a middle-of-the-road demographic. It would be a spot where kids could learn how to drive, or become a professional driver in the future, he said.
We are excited that the THERMAL project is still on track!
