Ron Marshall and Teri Bergstrom asked me to reblog this because there was little response from their posts. And, I am very pleased to be able to do what I can to help out: Here is Teri's post.
I came across this post from Ron Marshall:
"Ride For Life" in memory of Chad Smith
Ron's good friend, Chad Smith, passes on from Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2009. Fund raising for Chad's benefit, through a "Ride For Life", helped Chad and his family deal with the costs of treatment. Chad requested that the fund raising continue to benefit a family dealing with the cost/burden of treating cancer. Nine year old Maddie, and her family are this year recipients of this year's "Ride For Life".
Knowing too well the difficulties that many of us are facing in "tough times", I am asking IF you'd consider a donation of $5 - $10. I can "squeeze" this amount from my budget. I am asking 5 of my Associates to please consider this amount to benefit Maddie during her treatment. And, I am asking that you ask 5 of your Associates to consider a donation also, and that they do the same, and" So ON, & So On, & So ON"....
My son, Keith, passed from Leukemia at age 23. (While serving in the USN: Firecontrol & SAR Swimmer)...... I know too well, after 10 months of treatment, the difficulties of dealing with the disease... every dollar will help. Thanks for your consideration, and taking the time to create a AR "So On, & So On, & So On"..... Send your donation to: Wendy Jorgensen, 10271 Karston Ave N.E., Albertville, MN 55301.

If you can assist, please let either Ron, Teri or me know. Teri had very little support during her son's struggle, and I know it would mean a lot to her to get some support for this family.
