While on vacation in Myrtle Beach SC a few weeks ago we took a day and visited Brookgreen Gardens. Amidst the flowers, birds, animals and statues they had a butterfly house. Oh what beauty it held inside. They only allowed you one hour to experience the wonders of the butterfly. Not nearly enough time. Oh wait...it was enough time to catch this
One hour could not be long enough to enjoy beauty like that. Love the picture. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Martha - One of my favorite tings about our vacation trip to Branson MO last fall was the butterfly house. We were just going to drop in for a short while and wound up spending hours there. Those creatures are so gorgeous!
Cindy- It was hard for sure. But I think we lucked out anyways. :0)
Will- Thanks- They charge extra to go inside and only allow one hour each time. There was always a line.
Susan- Yes they are. They are such fragile gifts of beauty
Martha
Oh my, that is spectacular. We see them flying around out here but I am never that close. A wonderful look at nature!
Jeff
When I was a kid, we had Monarch butterflies everywhere. But in recent decades - not so much. We do occassionally see the yellow Swallowtails however. You captured a nice picture, Martha!
I love the closeup of the flower...what a detailed photo and very pretty!
Thanks Ellie
Jeff- We have them here at home as well and have taken many photos but this one....well maybe it was just the right time to finally catch the beauty
Myrl- Why thank you. You take such amazing photos that I love looking at all the time. I was lucky this time.
Patricia- Thank you. I liked how the flower came out too. :0)
Great that you were able to catch the picture! It sometimes can be soooo hard!
That Monarch Butterfly is beautiful. I love the contrast on the flowers too! What a nice photo to start the week with!
How beautiful and wondrous is that plus the fact of you being able to capture it ...priceless
Martha - Beautiful shot and I can't wait to see what else you took on your vacation.
