Today is the need to achieve and the need to nurture - the need to be strong and the need to be tender. No matter what's the weather, or whether or not you're having a good day, look to the good, dig deep, be creative and explore the seed within you.  People, like plants are always growing. Even when conditions seem wild and out of control, creativity flows - just give growth a  chance.

The vivid color on those wildflowers is astonishing.  At first glance the blossoms remind me of Bouganvillas.  But your flowers stay close to the ground.  Nice pictures Patricia. . .and nice words to go along with them!

Hi Shannon - I've never been to Midland, TX. I hope my post stirred up good memories of your High School days and I sincerely hope life is good for you in beautiful, sunny California :)

Hi Michael - You make an excellent point, energy does grow under pressure. Maybe that's why it's called, "creative juices!" I was struck in awe by the color of those wild flowers.

Hi Juli - I'm glad you made it over to my post and liked the wild flowers. They were an inspiration to me too :)

Hi Liz - I am also thankful that Lady Bird left such a beautiful legacy for the people in Texas. By the way, I think you're an incredible writer. Your last paragraph touched my soul :)

Hi Gary - I like that thought, "those flowers open our eyes to the wonder of the world." It caused me to pull another U-Turn and a few moments to pause and give thanks. It's the color that drew me in and I couldn't resist. It was worth it :)

Hi Debb - Ditto on both accounts. I am completely attracted to things in nature that draws me in and I need inspiration to get me through the day. It may sound crazy, but it's as if nature speaks to me loud and clear. It's moments like this, when I pay attention. Thankfully, sharing my thoughts in the RAIN and getting positive feedback from people like you, is so rewarding.

Hi Judi - As always, it's great to hear from you and I hope your day was a great one :)

Hi Mike - I think all cities and states have unique things to offer. Isn't it amazing how landscaping and wildflowers differ, depending on location? Wildflowers and wild life always amazes me. If they can adapt and adjust, why can people?

Hi Joni - That color pink reeled me and I couldn't resist! Wildflowers have a calling, all its own :)

Hi Mary - You're an incredible writer. I think your paragraph can be the introduction to a great new book. Those words are so meaningful - you can make them grow into a novel, illustrated by a unique array of wildflowers. Thanks for the inspirational reply :)

Hi A - Thank you for saying that "Motivational words come in all kind of packages and this one speak to the heart." That's exactly where my words were coming from. :)

Hi Dale - Isn't it something how no matter how hard the winds blow, those wildflowers don't let them down. They bounce right up to do their job. We can all learn a lot from wildflowers :)

Hi Kristine - Coming from you, a professional and a perfectionist, I am humbly grateful to hear you say that :)

Hi Ellen - You're an artist and a writer I admire - thank you :)

Hi Myrl - Thank you so kindly. Everything you say in the RAIN is motivational to me :)

Eric, I do believe it's true. Some years are better than others; however, I would never complain. There's something magical along the roadsides when the wildflowers are in bloom. What a great substitute for trash. Keeping our roadsides clean for all travelers is the very least we can do and when you plant wildflower seeds, it's like magic and an array of colors unmatched by any crayon box.

Thanks Chris! I just love when wildflowers surprises you and you don't get to choose what color you want. I don't think there's a bad color or color combination. This color was very beautiful to see from roads. I couldn't miss it! I'm glad you like them.
