Northern Virginia Things to Do with Kids-Host Laser Tag Party at Home !!

I always thought that going to laser tag places for birthday party was overwhelming....kids get exhausted wearing and running around in heavy vest in dark room. It is fun but last couple of them I attended for my boys, they mixed another birthday party where kids were much older and younger were being shot as easy target. I hated to have younger siblings sit outside and wait out for the fun to be over....it breaks my heart to keep them away for fun.

So my quest to look for twist on laser tag theme started...I google up and found some parents had hosted laser tag at home. Further research landed me to Tom & Kara Withers Battletag Mobile Laser Tag Parties.

Past weekend (of June 25th 2011) we hired them to host my son's 10th birthday party. And kids are still taking about how much fun they had.

Mr. Tom came in about 30 mins prior to the game start...setup the obstacles for the boys to hide and run during the battle.
He created various battle theme games for the boys..not to give all out my favorite (and kids was) zombie. One person (birthday boy) starts off as zombie and if he shoots out the other person/child he/she becomes zombie. Zombies cannot run so they have to walk like zombie to convert others.. Even my younger boy who is 5 was having a blast at his brother's birthday party.

The kids don't have to worry about wearing heavy vest. Mr. Tom was very accommodating gave a break for drinks and cake. Kids were being kids and it was purely fun evening. The games are design very well so it does not have to been at dark.

Over all if you are looking for a birthday party to charm your kids with something unusually and create memories at your home I would highly recommend Battletag Laser Tag party.
