As a Sole Operator, I don't have a lot of space in my office nor do I have time to be knowledgeable about all things that effect my business. I rely on several local businesses to help keep me in Business!
Sir Speedy * I've used them for over a decade. They do my printing * I just send it to them via e-mail as a pdf and go pick up my printing a week later. They keep everything on file electronically so I know it is safe!
Pack 'N Mail @ Riverbend * I do not have FedEx or UPS accounts. Having had to send 2 lease packets overseas via DHL, I realized that I really don't need these accounts * I just need a "shipping service". These guys are GREAT and always have the proper mailing container and give me delivery option times AND prices.
Keswick Post Office * I get my tenants' rent payments and my bills at our local Keswick post office. My box # has been in my husband's family for over 2 decades and is adjacent to Sissy Spacek's box. I can go anytime and pick up my mail AND I use the clerk/window service for sending USPS Priority Mail resident lease packets!
Virginia National Bank * These guys are awesome. I opened my account almost a decade ago and a few years ago, they actually opened a new branch adjacent to my office building complex. They do my certified checks and do stop-payments for me at no cost and when I need a notary for a document, they offer that service also.
Albemarle Lock & Safe * YES, I have a personal locksmith. Not personal so much as close-by and always ready to help. When I need locks changed or keys made, they are really there for me.
I am also thankful for Settle Tire and Cole's Import for keeping my Lexus on the road and RUNNING and Dave Watkins of Watkins Computer Services * my IT guy for almost a decade....and he makes "house calls".
When people ask how to can do what I do since there is ONLY me, I don't hesitate to tell them.....I am not alone! I do have good help!
