If you are considering the purchase of a domain name that will include your business email address, do you know what a "catch-all" is? A "catch-all" for the email address associated with your domain, catches all misspelled email addresses (that is before the @) and sends them to your in box. It sends all email addressed to your domain name to your 'in box'. If you are going to use your name in the email address and it is difficult to spell or prone to misspelling (as an example Kathy or Cathy) you might want to consider a domain host who will provide a "catch-all". Even if your clients typo the name in the email address you will still receive their email. Check with the domain provider before you agree to purchase your domain or extend your domain hosting service.

Wow - that's something I never even thought of. My name is not too hard but for so many I'll bet they do lose a lot of emails because of misspellings.

Hi Margaret, my name is easy to spell and I still receive a lot of emails from clients who have misspelled it. Thanks for stopping by and your input, it is appreciated.

Now that's a great tip for everyone Dan. I was not aware that it was available. I know some who bought several domain names similar to the one they use just to solve this problem.

Hi Robert, thank you for the complement! You just have to ask, not all service providers have the service.
