Real Estate Students

Real Estate Agent with Jim Free Realty

I spent almost 22 years observing students in our Real Estate School and I could predict with great accuracy who would be successful and who would fail within the first year.

We would attract students from all occupational backgrounds.  Many of the students that struggled with the classroom work and test turned out to be the best agents because they had tenacity.  Tenacity is a necessary ingredient for a real estate agent because if you give up ever time you face a problem you will never make it to closing.

The successful agents must also invest time and money in education and promotion. The brokerage company will provide some promotion but for the most part they will be promoting the company.  What about those students that sailed through the class and made a high score on the State Exam. Most of them left the business within the first year and the others, well they are our Brokers.

While I believe you have to have sensitivity when working with clients in Real Estate, you also MUST HAVE the Tenacity of a Bull Dog! Nice post and thank you.

Very interesting.  I have been an insturctor for seven years.  I personally think our state requirements are too low.
