Avoid Identity Theft Scam!

Some experts are always on the lookout for scams that propose misleading or bogus mortgage financing and other scams. Here’s one that is dispersion like wildfire.

Many of us binge at convenient stores or those little gas station stores. Some workers in those stores have found a way to shop on line utilizing your credit card!

Here’s how they do it. When you gave you credit card, they will swipe it and then put it on the counter beside the cash register. During this process, they pretend to have a call on their cell phone. While the card is out of sight and they are waiting for your transaction to be “approved”, they set their phone beside it and take a picture. With this picture, they already have your name, credit card number, expiration date and what type of credit it is whether its master card, visa and so forth. This is really alarming news.

Now they can go online and purchase items with your credit card or even sell your information to other on-line thieves.

So what we should do? Try to find stores where you can scan your card yourself. And be sure the employee is providing you their full attention and not “speaking” on their cell phone.

This might be a great tip that can be share to your friends. They will definitely thank you for that. Another great tip is to get those financing offers in the mail with the fake checks or incredible offers, scan and email them to experts who are working against scams and fraud and go over them together.

Roughly 99% of them of them try to search like they are from your bank and well, they aren’t. Anyone can purchase leads from a list company. The company provides your full name, address, amount of your mortgage, when you obtain your mortgage, and the name of your mortgage company. This is all public data available on-line from your county courthouse.

The people who purchase the following “leads” will then try to trick you into thinking the letter is from someone you can trust.

Share this will your family and friends to avoid scams and fraud!

This was really good and it never ceases to amaze me that people continue to create new ways to fraud others. Those with gifts or abilities to create or invent things could last far longer doing it right and also avoid jail time yet that message seems to get overshadowed by the lure of a fast buck, sad.
