There aren't a lot of vegetarian/vegan options in the Anaheim/Fullerton area so when I discovered that the Vietnamese restaurant Thuyen Vien was close by in Anaheim on Euclid and Katella I was very excited. Since recently discovering it I have already been back 2 times as I just can't get enough.
My latest trip to Thuyen Vien I had discovered a new favorite dish in the Garlic Basil "Chicken". I also enjoyed my previous favorite, the Energy Bowl. And to top it off I had one of the best desserts I've had in a long time with the New York Cheesecake all made from tofu with a cranberry sauce and made by one of the owners of the restaurant. Taking friends that weren't vegetarian or vegan had them wondering how it was possible that it was made from tofu and dishing out money to get a whole cake to take home.
Thuyen Vien hasn't even been in Anaheim for a year yet but has gained great attention and reviews. They currently have 138 reviews and 4 1/2 out of 5 stars rating on Yelp. I haven't yet put in my Yelp review but I sure will be giving it 5 stars. Did I mention I'm a meat eater? This restaurant has got me thinking that maybe I should become a vegetarian/vegan. That's how amazing (and flavorful) this food is!
