I'm just feeling all mushy and happy to be here. I have been enjoying re-connecting with all my friends and colleagues here in the rain and I feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
I have a site on Lake Livingston that has been at the top of Google in all my KeyWords for the last 6 years. It has brought us wonderful leads, customers and clients and many friends to boot! Recently we began selling Lake Conroe too and have relocated to this area. We are still selling on Lake Livingston but now we had the challenge of expanding our Market to yet another lake. We had to decide between 2 sites or expanding the existent site to include another lake.
What a dilemma! We didn't want our Mother Site to drop by diluting it with information from one area so we began feeding it little by little and watching our strength of placement carefully. The good news is that it's still there where it should be and is now showing up in the Lake Conroe area too!
When I became more active in Active Rain, I knew it would help my positioning and because I love to write it felt like more of a break than a chore. I began using my Active Rain Outside Blog for the Lake Conroe Feed.
Check it out: Deb's Lake Conroe Real Estate and Stuff (classy name, huh?) Oh well, transparency is my middle name!
I have been attempting to get my 1year old website, the NEW ONE to crawl to the top of Google for the last few months and it just felt impossible. For the first 3 months of work I was falling somewhere between number 650 and infinity. It felt impossible. I truly believe in providing Good Content and a value in the contents of the site itself. It wasn't long ago, maybe 5 months, that it was barely in the top 100. Every week I would go in and add something of value. I began writing about Lake Conroe on my posts and linking to the site.
Well now, why am I so warm and fuzzy and happy?
My new site hit the FIRST PAGE OF GOOGLE today on 3 of my chosen KeyWords! WooooooHooooooo!!
I give Active Rain and their platform a huge amount of credit for this new development! Of course, it is a team effort with writing and fresh content but wow. I mean Big Wow!
Thank you Active Rain for all you provide us.
You ROCK!
