Raleigh Named Best City For Business & Careers....Again!
Raleigh, North Carolina has been named to the top of Forbes annual list of the best Cities for Business and Careers. The magazine states that the high percentage of college graduates and the proximity of the three elite schools of North Carolina State, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Duke University combines to fuel growth.
The low business cost 18% below the national average and smart work force make Raleigh a city employers want to have a presence in.
Raleigh was the only east Coast city to appear on the list!!
Durham was number 31 on the list, Charlotte was 22nd and Asheville was 24th, I would have to say that that was a pretty good showing for the State of North Carolina which continues to attract employers and job seekers, in fact the net migration to Raleigh was the highest in the country.
Raleigh was number 1 in 2007, 2008, 2009, dropped to number 3 last year and is now back on top.
There is no question Raleigh and the surrounding Triangle area is a great place to call home, open a business go to school and raise a family. Affordable housing, good schools ( people who care about the schools), quality of life, low costs, weather etc!
