Check out your local Freecycle network.  It's a non-profit group of millions of people giving and getting all kinds of stuff for FREE in their towns.  The best part is keeping your unwanted items out of landfills. Go to www.Freecycle.org to find a Freecycle Network near you.

Karen, I hadn't heard of this group, but will certainly check it out. 

Also, I want to sign up for 101 tips for preparing your home for sale.... but couldn't find where to click.  I'll go to your newsletter section.  But, if not, please let me know how to sign up - I just know it's going to be very valuable, worthwhile information and can't wait to read it.

Hi Karen - I am a big advocate of FreeCycle. There is no faster way to get rid of stuff--I've had people pick up stuff within a half hour of posting!  No packing, no loading it in your car--just open the garage door and they haul it away!
