Home Staging Tip - Hiding Techno Clutter

Reblogger
Home Stager with Feng Shui Manhattan Long Island #888

This is a post that has been re-blogged by many :) So congrats to Sharon Tara! We always hear about the word "clutter", "organizing" and so on.  According to Feng shui and now, various other studies...having to many wires (phones, computers, T.V.'s and so on) contribute to many feeling  "unsteadiness" or not feeling grounded.

In Feng Shui we refer to this as electromagnetic energy.  People have been known to have trouble sleeping and focusing when in the office.  Sharon shares a very simple way of offsetting and hiding those unsightly wires.

Great job!! :)

We all have them…unsightly techno gadgets cluttering up our kitchen counters. Technology is great, but the chargers and plugs can add up.  Most Home Staging consults I’ve done have involved dealing with cordless phones, cell phones and phone chargers.

Sellers would prefer to avoid the inconvenience of having to relocate their phones while their house is on the market.

One solution is to hide the “phone clutter” within a decorative or “breadbox” type container.

decorative box to hide clutter

By drilling a hole in the back of the container, using a hole saw, your phones, cords and chargers can live inside the box.  All the mess is hidden inside, but still easily accessible.

It’s a great idea for organizing your office and desk too.

A couple of years ago Michelle Molinari wrote a similar post.  Michelle uses beautiful boxes and containers as "crap traps" to hide the junk that accumulates on kitchen counters

By taking Michelle's idea one step further and drilling a hole in the back, you can also eliminate phones and other techno "crap" like ipods...anything with a cord or charger can be hidden from view and still have access to an outlet.
